The SeaBOS initiative emerged from a dialogue between science and industry, seeking to answer a question first posed in a 2015 research article: can sustainable leadership by Keystone Actors result in cascading effects throughout the entire seafood industry and enable a critical transition towards improved management of marine living resources and ecosystems?
To explore this question, a global team of scientists collaborates closely with a group of the largest seafood companies, contributing scientific insights, co-creating work programmes, and monitoring the experiment.
