In a panel organised by UN Global Compact’s Ocean Stewardship Coalition, SeaBOS members Cermaq and Mowi highlighted the importance of sustainable seafood production and science-based collaboration to advance climate action.
Wenche Grønbrekk, Global Head of Sustainable Development at Cermaq, and Catarina Martins, Chief Sustainability and Technology Officer at Mowi, were among the participants during the session entitled “Blue Food: Businesses bridging nutrition needs with climate action”.
It took place during the Ocean Day 5 November in the SDG Pavilion.
Grønbrekk and Martins talked on behalf of SeaBOS about the importance of sustainable seafood production and the collaborative efforts by SeaBOS to advance climate action.
One of the main areas within SeaBOS is to identify global solutions to the impacts of climate change on sustainable seafood production as well working with work with governments toward sustainable seafood production and a healthy ocean.
